The ovolo and rounding over router bit has several other names in the

industry. Sometimes referred to a plunge/groove beading bit.

Create a flat bottom groove in between two quarter-round shapes. Cutting

a bit deeper lend extra depth to the appearance. Depending on the depth

of cut, the rounding over radii can be flush with the surface or it can allow

for a fillet (recessed).

Using an edge guide, beadings and round-over shapes can be achieved on the edges of a workpiece.
